SUPPORTERS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT IN DEVONSHIRE

A Message From The President
Pete Cassidy, President
John F. Kennedy’s famous quote “…ask not what your country can do for you: ask what you can do for your country” reminds us of the responsibility we all have as citizens. Giving back to our community in various ways is one small avenue toward achieving Kennedy’s suggestion. SOLID is an organization made of local citizens that believe in this philosophy, willing to help and contribute to our Devonshire police personnel. Our efforts in fundraising provide materials and equipment that is NOT provided by the city. Every penny raised is channeled back to the Devonshire police requests and needs. A few examples of donations provided include: Upgrading and remodeling the workout room; cell phones for detectives; night vision binoculars; digital cameras; TAC lights for shotguns; computers; copy machines; and much more.

Most citizens appreciate the hard work and many challenges that our local law enforcement personnel face on a daily basis. SOLID is one avenue toward showing that appreciation and, in some small way, giving back to our community. We encourage you all to get involved with the efforts of SOLID and support our local fundraisers.

Our annual Pancake Breakfast will be held on Saturday May 5th this year, at the Devonshire Area Police Station, corner of Devonshire Street and Etiwanda Avenue fro 7:30 am to 10:30 am. Tickets are $5.00 each. Many dignitaries and officers will be there and we hope to see you there as well.

On behalf of Solid and our Devonshire personnel, I want to thank you for your continued support and contributions.
